Technology Fee FAQs

Your guide to understanding and managing Pickleball Den’s technology fees

FAQs

  • Pickleball Den’s technology fee is a flat per-player charge designed to give you more choice and flexibility, because you deserve options that work best for you and your players.

You decide how the fee is presented: build it into your registration fee, show it as a separate fee, or use a blended approach.

For players, this means transparent pricing with no hidden costs and clear expectations at checkout.

  • You have the option to charge the technology fee separately to players during the registration process, or to continue building this fee into your registration costs:

Option 1: Organizer Absorbs the Fee – Players only pay your registration fee. You cover the technology fee when invoiced after the event.

Option 2: Players Pay the Fee – Players pay both your registration fee and a separate technology fee. You collect all fees, then pay the technology fee once invoiced.

Option 3: Blended Fee Approach – Part of the technology fee is included in the registration cost and the remaining portion will show up as a separate technology fee during registration.

  • Directors will be invoiced for technology fees after the event. The total technology fees owed to Pickleball Den will be calculated by multiplying the number of registered players by the applicable technology fee.

  • The technology fee will continue to be a flat, per-player fee; no charge per bracket, per event, or any other formula.

  • The technology fee is fully refundable by the event organizer and will be reflected in the payment report.

  • To help cover administrative and support costs, a $25 approval fee will be invoiced when your tournament or league is approved in Pickleball Den.

Once your tournament is completed, the setup fee will be deducted from the total technology fees owed to Pickleball Den, and reflected in the payment report.
